It's a sweet, smoky and tangy masterpiece that's been kissed with just the right amount of honey, making it the perfect dance partner for our crunchy chicken tenders. For the tenders

  • 10 chicken tenders
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup pickle juice
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup potato starch
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper

For the Honey BBQ sauce

  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce


  • Identify the tendon on the chicken and stick it between the teeth of a fork. Grab it with a paper towel and pull to remove.
  • Combine the buttermilk with pickle juice and hot sauce and add the chicken. Marinate for at least an hour.
  • Combine the all purpose flour with potato starch, smoked paprika, garlic powder, chili powder and salt and pepper.
  • When the chicken has marinated, Take it out of the buttermilk and let some of it drip into the flour mixture to create crispiness. Add the chicken and press the flour into the chicken making sure its fully coated. Fry at 350°F for 7 minutes..
  • Make the sauce in the meantime by combining all ingredients in a pan and bringing to a boil. Turn off heat, and coat the chicken strips once they are done frying
