Sausage Egg and Cheese Breakfast Skulls

Sausage Egg and Cheese Breakfast Skulls

This is a breakfast with a bone-chilling twist – it's shaped as a skull! But fear not, these delicious delights aren't filled with guts and brains, only the comforting goodness of a morning meal staple! Transform your refrigerated biscuit dough into whimsical skull shapes, and within each grinning cranium, stuff a symphony of flavors: sizzling breakfast sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs and a generous helping of melty colby jack cheese, creating a ghoulishly good ensemble. Seal the deal with another layer of flattened biscuit dough, forming these breakfast munchies into edible works of art. The ghastly delights don't stop there – prepare a drizzle of fiery honey butter, turning a mere condiment into a flavor explosion that complements the breakfast skulls with a sweet and spicy kick. A devilishly good breakfast that's equal parts spooky and scrumptious!

Servings 6 skulls

  • 12 pieces of refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 2 cups grated colby jack cheese
  • 1/2 pound cooked breakfast sausage
  • 4 cooked scrambled eggs
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1/4 cup hot honey
  • 2 tablespoons chopped chives

  • Grab some refrigerated biscuit dough and flatten it then add it to the skull mold. Fill each one with a bunch of shredded colby jack cheese. On top of the cheese (where the brains would be) add the scrambled eggs and on the other side (where the mouth would be) some cooked breakfast sausage.
  • Take another flattened biscuit dough and seal it up. Bake in the oven at 400°F for 15 minutes.
  • In the meantime, make the honey butter by combining melted butter, hot honey and chopped chives.
