Ingredients
For the sliders
- 1 package of King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls
- 1 pound shaved steak
- 8 slices of provolone cheese (divided)
- 4 cups diced white onions
- 1/4 cup salted butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt (plus more for seasoning)
- 1 cup pickled jalapeños
- Pepper
For the cheese sauce
- 1 cup mild cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup corn starch
- 2 cups evaporated milk
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Melt 1/4 cup butter on a medium-high heat skillet. Add 4 cups diced onions, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1 teaspoon salt. Cook for about 7 minutes, mixing frequently until a golden brown color forms.
- Add 1 pound shaved steak to a medium-high heat skillet and chop it up more. Season with salt and pepper then place 2 slices of provolone on top, letting it melt. Mix well.

- While the steak cooks, add the King's Hawaiian Original Sweet rolls into the oven (inside an oven safe tray) at 400°F for 5 minutes. Take it out and slice in half.

- To make the sauce, add 1 cup mild cheddar to a saucepan or pot. Combine with 1/4 cup corn starch. Mix in 2 cups evaporated milk, 1 tablespoon onion powder, and 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce. Heat on medium, continuing to stir until a cheese sauce consistency forms.
- Place 6 slices of provolone on top of the sliced rolls. Add the steak and onions then smother in the cheese sauce.

- Place 1 cup pickled jalapeños on top the top bun and close out the sandwich. Slice into sliders.
