Crispy Fried Pizza Rolls with King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (Easy Deep Fry or Air Fryer Recipe)

Crispy Fried Pizza Rolls with King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (Easy Deep Fry or Air Fryer Recipe)

If pizza and mozzarella sticks had a golden, crispy love child… this would be it. These Fried Pizza Rolls made with King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls are the ultimate snack hack—gooey cheese, crispy coating, salty pepperoni, and that signature sweet, fluffy bread bringing it all together. It’s the kind of recipe that disappears from the plate faster than you can say “save me one.”
The magic starts with King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls, which bring a subtle sweetness that balances perfectly with the savory pepperoni, melty mozzarella, and crispy Italian breadcrumb coating. Instead of rolling dough from scratch, we’re turning these pillowy dinner rolls into bite-sized stuffed pizza bombs that are ridiculously easy to assemble.
Each roll gets sliced in half and loaded with layers of mozzarella cheese and pepperoni, creating that classic pizza flavor combo everyone knows and loves. Once assembled, the rolls are pressed together and dunked into a seasoned egg wash packed with Italian seasoning, then coated in Italian breadcrumbs and Parmesan for maximum crunch. A double dredge makes sure the coating gets extra crispy when it hits the fryer.
From there, the magic happens. Drop these stuffed rolls into 350°F oil and in just a few minutes they transform into golden, crispy pizza pockets with molten cheese inside. The outside gets perfectly crunchy while the inside stays soft and cheesy—basically everything you want in a snack.
Prefer a lighter option? No problem. These pizza rolls also crush it in the air fryer, where they cook up beautifully at 400°F in about 7 minutes, flipping halfway through. You still get that crispy coating, gooey cheese pull, and bold pizza flavor without the deep fry.
Once they’re done, hit them with a shower of grated Parmesan cheese and serve them alongside warm marinara sauce for dipping. The combo of crispy coating, melty cheese, sweet bread, and tangy marinara is pure comfort food perfection.
These fried pizza rolls are perfect for game day, parties, after-school snacks, or honestly just when you’re craving something cheesy and indulgent. They’re easy to make, super customizable, and guaranteed to be a crowd favorite.
Want to mix things up? You can swap in mini pepperoni, cooked sausage, or even sautéed veggies for different flavor combos. Add a sprinkle of crushed red pepper for heat or mix garlic powder into the breadcrumbs for extra punch.
Whether you’re frying or air frying, this recipe delivers crispy, cheesy pizza goodness in every bite. It’s fast, fun, and dangerously addictive.
So grab a pack of King’s Hawaiian rolls, fire up the fryer (or air fryer), and get ready to make the easiest homemade pizza rolls that blow the frozen ones out of the water. Once you try these, you’ll never look at pizza snacks the same way again. 🍕🔥
