For the wings

  • 20 chicken wings
  • 4 egg whites
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper (divided in half)
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder (divided in half)
  • 1 cup potato starch

For the sauce

  • 1/4 cup salted butter
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese

  • First, pat your wings dry.
  • In one bowl, combine egg whites with garlic powder, salt and black pepper. In another bowl, add potato starch with black pepper, garlic powder and salt. Submerge your wings in the egg white mixture and ensure they’re fully coated. Then bring them over to the starch mixture and toss, once again ensuring they’re fully coated.
  • Place the wings on an air fryer basket and spray with cooking spray. Cook at 450°F for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • In the meantime, melt some butter on a pan and combine in black pepper and honey.
  • Once the wings are done, toss them in the honey butter mixture. Finally, toss some Pecorino romano cheese and enjoy!
